I served on the USS Cony DD-508 from 1962 until 1965 in the OI Division. I started this website in 1997 and have reacquainted with many of my old shipmates and have many new shipmate friends because of it. I hope that you will too.

The next Cony reunion will be from Wednesday 5/30/2012 to Sunday 6/3/2012 @ Providence RI.

Jim Knapp is our Newsletter publisher and editor. He puts great effort into making a publication that looks to me to be of a quality that is of professional grade. We are very lucky to have him. There are two ways to recieve the newsletter, I personally prefer to recive them via email in all of their blazing color and quailty, but to those that don't have that capability, he does send out a black and white edition, albeit via the slow snail mail.

Ken Cox has hosted most of the last Cony annual reunions and there just can't be enough said about the success of those reunions due to his conciencious dedication. He has worked with reunion planners from the cities that have hosted our reunions and always comes up with a grand production. Don't change the formula Ken .

Both of these guys deserve a resounding Bravo Zulu.

If you served on the USS Cony DD/ DDE 508 at anytime during her active service, you are eligible to be added to the Cony Association's roster and you will receive the Cony newsletter that is either emailed to you or US Postal mail if you wish, 3 or 4 times a year.
You will also receive a hard copy of the Cony Association roster which includes the contact information for each of the over 450 shipmates on it. You are almost certain to find some of the shipmates that were on the Cony when you were. If you would like to be added to the USS Cony Association roster please send an email to me (

) with your years onboard the Cony, your last rate/rank while aboard, your home address and phone number.
Your name, rate/rank and years onboard will be added to the "limitied" version of the roster posted on this website, but your other information will only be given to other Cony Association members.
